Are we competent enough to intervene the Destiny

Abirami,the 10 year old recipient of a heart from a 15 year old brain dead road accident victim Mr. A.P.Hitendran son of a doctor couple Asokan and Pushpanjali of Chennai died at a private nursing home yesterday due to Arrythmia or abnormal electrical activity in the heart.Hitendran was injured in a road accident last year and he was admitted in Apollo Speciality Hospital, where he was declared brain dead.His Doctor parents opened a pandora's box by deciding to donate his organs.His corneas were sent toSankara Nehtralaya, an eye hospital and the heart was sent to Frontier Line Hospital with the help of the police,who brought the heart to the hospital with in 11 minutes and Abirami was saved with the heart transplant to the delight of her parents. The action of the doctor couples in donating their brain dead son's organs prompted many such donations from the parents of many brain dead victims during the last one year.Though Abirami lived for a year with the donar heart ,her parents have now come forward to donate her eyes.Though organ donation is against the Hindu tradition there is nobody to raise any voice.May this tribe thrive.
