NAVRATRI...FESTIVAL OF NINE DIVINE NIGHTS



According to Hindu Calendar Navratri is being celebrated during October every year. Goddess Durga Devi, the supreme Deity of Power is invoked for the first three days.The next three days are devoted to Goddess of Wealth Lakshmi Devi and the last three days are  devoted to Goddess of Wisdom and Knowledge Saraswati Devi.During those nine days dolls depicting various forms of God and Goddess'and other socially relevant and dolls meant for entertainment are placed in nine steps. It is called KOLU. Mostly it is being celebrated as a ladies festival.A few photos of our KOLU is published.
